What we commission

Factelle welcomes original, well-sourced pitches with a clear angle, a defined reader benefit and a convincing reason the story matters. We value reporting, analysis, explainers and informed first-person expertise that fit our publication.

What to include

Send a proposed headline, a concise outline, the central evidence or sources, relevant expertise, expected length and timing. Disclose conflicts, payments, gifts, product access and whether the idea has been offered elsewhere.

Originality and rights

Pitches and submissions must be your own work and must not infringe another person’s rights. Quotations, data, images and supporting documents must be genuine and accurately represented.

Use of AI tools

Disclose any material use of generative or automated tools. Undisclosed machine-generated drafts, fabricated quotations, invented sources, synthetic evidence and automated publication are not accepted.

Editing and publication

Accepted work may be edited for accuracy, clarity, structure, style, safety, legal risk, accessibility and search presentation. Acceptance, commissioning or submission does not guarantee publication.

Payment

Any fee, expenses, rights and payment timetable must be agreed in writing before publication. Unsolicited submissions are not presumed to be paid.

How to pitch

Email contributors@factelle.com with “Pitch” and the proposed section in the subject line. Include links to relevant published work and confirm that you have read the Contributor Agreement.

Essential storage is always active. Optional categories only run after you save an affirmative choice.
